Margaret (Eleanor) was born about 1355 in Epworth, Isle of Axholme, Lincolnshire, England.  Margaret (Eleanor)'s father was John III de Mowbray and her mother was Elizabeth de Segrave.  Her paternal grandparents were John II de Mowbray and Joan Plantagenet of Lancaster; her maternal grandparents were John II de Segrave and Margaret Marshall Plantagenet of Norfolk. She had two brothers and three sisters, named John IV, Thomas, Isabel, Jane and Joan.  She died about August 18th, 1387.

‌Margaret (Eleanor) and John were married in a religious ceremony before May 1386.  They had a son and two daughters, named Eudo, Anne and Eleanor.
