William de Courtenay

William was born in 1342 in St. Martins, Exeter, Devonshire, England. William's father was Hugh III de Courtenay and his mother was Margaret de Bohun. His paternal grandparents were Hugh II de Courtenay and Agnes de St. John; his maternal grandparents were Humphrey VIII de Bohun and Elizabeth Plantagenet. He had eight brothers and ten sisters, named Thomas, Philip, Peter, Humphrey, Hugh IV, John, Robert, Edward, Margaret, Elizabeth, Katherine, Joan, Matilda, Eleanor, Guenora, Anne, Isabel and Philippa. He died at the age of 54 on July 31st, 1396 in Maidstone, Kent, England.
