Isabel was born about 1121 in Leicestershire, England.  Isabel's father was Robert II Bossu de Beaumont and her mother was Amice de Waer de Gael of Montfort.  Her paternal grandparents were Robert I de Meulan de Beaumont and Isabella Capet de Crepi of Vermandois; her maternal grandparents were Ralph II de Waer de Gael de Montfort and Emma FitzWilliam FitzOsborne. She had five brothers and two sisters, named Geoffrey, Henry, John, William, Robert III FitzPernel, Margaret de Paganel and Adela.  She died after May 1188.
