Andrew Jackson was born in October 1851 in Kanawha County, West Virginia. Andrew Jackson's father was John Vineyard and his mother was Sarah Jane Shaver. His paternal grandfather was Pressley Vineyard; his maternal grandparents were John David Shaver and Mary Parsons. He has five brothers and four sisters, named John W. Bennett, Henry M., John R., James P., Lewis, Mary E., Sophena, Martha and Sarah E.. He is the second oldest of the ten children.-
