Rufus Edwin was born on July 18th, 1908 in Illinois. Rufus Edwin's father was Edwin Percival Sutton and his mother was Etta Shepard. His paternal grandparents were Samuel Sutton and Hannah Sheldon; his maternal grandparents were John F. Shepard and Sarah Elizabeth. He was an only child. He died at the age of 58 on August 19th, 1966 in Illinois. He was buried in Evergreen Cemetery, El Paso, Woodford County, Illinois.-
