Edwin Percival was born on April 3rd, 1880 in Sutton Farm, El Paso, Woodford County, Illinois. Edwin Percival's father was Samuel Sutton and his mother was Hannah Sheldon. His paternal grandparents were Samuel Sutton and Margaret Critton; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Sheldon and UNKNOWN Mary. He had four brothers and two sisters, named George Sheldon, Samuel Critton, Franklin Thomas, William Fenton, Anna Eliza and Mary Margaret. He was the youngest of the seven children.
