Luther H. was born on July 7th, 1848. Luther H.'s father was William Shaver and his mother was Josina Hill. His paternal grandparents were John Shaver and Leah Norris. He had six brothers and four sisters, named Napoleon Bonaparte, Benjamin Franklin, William Parker, Sylvanus L., Winfield Scott, James Otis, Elizabeth, Rosina R., Josephine B. and Helen Virginia. He is the sixth oldest of the eleven children.-
