Thomas Christopher was born on April 1st, 1894 in Tazewell County, Illinois. Thomas Christopher's father was Lewis Madden Shaffer and his mother was Harriet Melissa Scott. His paternal grandparents were Christopher Shaffer and Elizabeth C. Cox; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Scott and Martha George. He had a brother and two sisters, named Harold Mckinley, Jessica Marie and Lisa. He was the second youngest of the four children. He had two half-brothers and three half-sisters, named George, Albert Clarence, Amy, Elsie Maye and Cora Adelia. He died at the age of 78 on November 4th, 1972.-
