Isiah Elias Shafer 
Isiah Elias was born on April 19th, 1872 in Roane County, West Virginia. Isiah Elias' father was Samuel L. Shaver and his mother was Sarah Jane Kiser. His paternal grandparents were John David Shaver and Nancy Tanner; his maternal grandparents were Martin Kiser and Mary Ferrell. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named Essaias, Ulysses Samuel, Ezekial, H. Martin, Isaiah W., Paul, Pharoah E., Sarah Catherine Jane, Viola Ollie and Cellia J.. He was the oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 13 on September 19th, 1885 in Roane County, West Virginia.-
