William Rittenhouse

William was born on November 28th, 1691 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. William's father was Nicholas Rittenhouse and his mother was Wilhelmina Dewees. His maternal grandparents were Gerrit Hendricks De Wees and Sijtie Lievens. He had two brothers and five sisters, named Henry, Mathias, Sijten Sophia, Psyche Peggy, Maria Christina, Catherine and Susanna. He is the second oldest of the eight children.
