Henry Rittenhouse

Henry was born on April 1st, 1700 in Roxborough Township, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania. Henry's father was Nicholas Rittenhouse and his mother was Wilhelmina Dewees. His maternal grandparents were Gerrit Hendricks De Wees and Sijtie Lievens. He had two brothers and five sisters, named William, Mathias, Sijten Sophia, Psyche Peggy, Maria Christina, Catherine and Susanna. He is the second youngest of the eight children.
