Sigurd II the Stout Hlodvirsson of was born in 0960 in Orkney Islands, Orkney, Scotland.  Sigurd II the Stout Hlodvirsson of's father was Hlodver Lodar Thorfinnson of Orkney and his mother was Audna Kjarvalssdatter MacDunghal of Ireland.  His paternal grandparents were Thorfinn I the Skull-Splitter Einarsson and Grelod Duncansdottir of Caithness; his maternal grandfather was Kjarval Carrol MacDunghal of Ireland. He had three sisters named Svanlaug Hlodvirsdottir of, Gerleota and Daughter.  He was the oldest of the four children.  He died at the age of 54 on April 23rd, 1014 in Battle of Clontarf, Dublin, Ireland.
