Joan Plantagenet the Fair Maid of was born on September 29th, 1328 in Woodstock, Kent, Oxfordshire, England.  Joan Plantagenet the Fair Maid of's father was Edmund Plantagenet of Woodstock and her mother was Margaret le Wake of Liddell.  Her paternal grandparents were Edward I Longshanks Plantagenet of England and Marguerite le Hardi Capet of France; her maternal grandfather was John le Wake and her maternal grandmother is Joanna de Fiennes. She had two brothers and a sister, named Edmund Plantagenet of, John Plantagenet of and Margaret.  She was the second youngest of the four children. She had a half-brother named Aymer II.  She died at the age of 56 on August 8th, 1385 in Wallingford Castle, Berkshire, England.  She was buried in Greyfriars Church, Stamford, Lincoln, England.
