Luther M. was born on January 3rd, 1867 in Greenbrier County, Virginia. Luther M.'s father was Calvin George Hundley and his mother was Mary Crawford Shaver. His maternal grandparents were George E. Shaver and Isabelle Rodgers. He had four brothers and a sister, named John Madison, Samuel B., George Perry, William Lee and Margaret. He was the youngest of the six children. He had two half-brothers and four half-sisters, named James M., Robert Shanklin, Sarah F., Nancy D., Susan J. and Eliza. He died after 1905.-
