She had two brothers and three sisters, named James M., Robert Shanklin, Sarah F., Nancy D. and Eliza. She was the third youngest of the six children. She had five half-brothers and a half-sister, named John Madison, Samuel B., George Perry, William Lee, Luther M. and Margaret. She died at the age of 71 on August 31st, 1918 in Christiansburg, Ohio. She was buried in Honey Creek Cemetery, Christiansburg, Champaign County, Ohio.-
