Solomon was born on November 3rd, 1830 in Berks County, Pennsylvania. Solomon's father was Peter Folk and his mother was Elizabeth Schober. His maternal grandparents were Michael Schober and Mary Barbara. He had six brothers and two sisters, named Gideon, Carl, Samuel, Benjamin, Peter, Charles, Judith and Sallie. He was the fourth youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 64 on June 3rd, 1895 in Pennsylvania. He was buried in Lutheran & Reformed Cemetery,Emmaus, Lehigh County,PA.General Notes
