Gideon Folk 
Gideon was born on April 4th, 1815 in Richmond Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania. Gideon's father was Peter Folk and his mother was Elizabeth Schober. His maternal grandparents were Michael Schober and Mary Barbara. He had six brothers and two sisters, named Carl, Samuel, Benjamin, Solomon, Peter, Charles, Judith and Sallie. He was the oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 79 on November 30th, 1894 in Shillington, Pennsylvania. He was buried in Charles Evans Cemetery, Reading, Pennsylvania.-
