Gasper Butcher 
Gasper was born on March 30th, 1805 in Harrison County, Virginia. Gasper's father was John Anderson Butcher and his mother was Christina Alkire. His paternal grandparents were Balthasar Butcher and Elizabeth Bush; his maternal grandparents were John Alkire and Christina McCann. He had ten brothers and four sisters, named Joseph Anderson, Jesse, Paulser, Lemuel D., Emmanuel, Granville A., Thomas P., John R., James Newton, Michael Ervin, Nancy Ann, Sarah, Elizabeth and Margaret Ann. He was the oldest of the fifteen children. He died at the age of 84 on March 26th, 1890 in Lewis County, West Virginia.-
