John Dewitt Talmage Wilkes 
John Dewitt Talmage was born on January 20th, 1901 in McNairy Cty. TN.1 John Dewitt Talmage's father was George Washington Wilkes and his mother was Emma Ander Perkins. His paternal grandparents were Andrew Jackson Wilkes and Mary Ann (Polly) Basham. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Carl Clyde, Oscar Carl, Lacy Frank, Earnest Eugene, Dora Hester, Mary and Pearl Hazel. He was the second youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 80 on September 9th, 1981 in Dallas, TX.1 General Notes
