Grance Ann was born on August 18th, 1890 in Taylor Co., Kentucky.1 Grance Ann's father was Green Berry Underwood and her mother was Martha Jane Howell. Her paternal grandparents were Hiram Underwood and Celia Buley. She had two brothers and three sisters, named John Logan, Alfred Thomas, Rosetta, Mattie Green and Lona Bell. She was the youngest of the six children. She had four half-brothers and six half-sisters, named William B., Eli, Green Berry,Jr., Hiram Jackson, Sarah N., Mary Jane, Elizabeth, Ersley Alley, Celia Betty and Jane. She died at the age of 88 on December 1st, 1978 in Winnebago Co., Illinois.1 General Notes
