John Logan Underwood 
John Logan was born on January 1st, 1887 in Taylor Co., Kentucky.1 John Logan's father was Green Berry Underwood and his mother was Mary Rachel Sprowls. His paternal grandparents were Hiram Underwood and Celia Buley. He had four brothers and six sisters, named William B., Eli, Green Berry,Jr., Hiram Jackson, Sarah N., Mary Jane, Elizabeth, Ersley Alley, Celia Betty and Jane. He was the youngest of the eleven children. He had a half-brother and four half-sisters, named Alfred Thomas, Rosetta, Mattie Green, Lona Bell and Grance Ann. He died at the age of 79 on July 14th, 1966 in Elizabethtown, Hardin Co., Kentucky. He was buried in Mt. Tabor Baptist Church, Larue Co., Kentucky.1 1 General Notes
