Her paternal grandparents are Robert Snodgrass and Elizabeth Unknown; her maternal grandfather was Nathan, Sr. Basham and her maternal grandmother is Mary Lewis. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Preston A. Snodgrass, John Wademan, Ruth Jane, Mary E. and Leah Martha. She is the second oldest of the six children.-
