Joel Skaggs 
Joel was born in 1801.1 Joel's father was James Skaggs and his mother was Anna McColgen. His paternal grandfather was Henry Skaggs and his paternal grandmother is Mary Thompson. He had four brothers and three sisters, named John T., William M., Drury Thomas, Samuel H., Martha, Griselda Jane and Lucy. He is the fourth youngest of the eight children.General Notes
