Marcella Shelton 
Marcella was born on July 13th, 1873 in Madison Co., North Carolina.1 Marcella's father is Shadrach Shelton and her mother was Margaret Ansabelle Sams. Her maternal grandfather was Ezekiel G. Sams and her maternal grandmother is Mary Ann Pollie Johnson. She had two brothers and eight sisters, named Grace H., Alonzo Cansada, Triphenia, Perpiatuie, Martha C., Claudia Belle, Tenny C., Sophina, Mary and Minnie B. Ben. She was the oldest of the eleven children. She died at the age of 78 on June 28th, 1952 in Washington Co., Tennessee.1 General Notes
