Mary Shelton 
Mary was born in August 1893 in North Carolina.1 Mary's father is Shadrach Shelton and her mother was Margaret Ansabelle Sams. Her maternal grandfather was Ezekiel G. Sams and her maternal grandmother is Mary Ann Pollie Johnson. She had two brothers and eight sisters, named Grace H., Alonzo Cansada, Marcella, Triphenia, Perpiatuie, Martha C., Claudia Belle, Tenny C., Sophina and Minnie B. Ben.
