Charles McLain Purcell 
Charles McLain was born in 1830 in Georgia.1 Charles McLain's father was Benjamin S. Purcell and his mother was Besty Anderson. His paternal grandparents were Samuel Purcell and Ann Brewer. He had three brothers and a sister, named William Charles, Corneilus, M. I. and Elizabeth. He had seven half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Benjamin, Samuel Bruer, Aaron L., Peter Reisinger, Daniel Elisah, Calvin, Noah, Rachel Marie, Sarah Ann and Rebecca.
