Betsey Paxton

Betsey was born on July 19th, 1789.¹ Betsey's father was William Paxton and her mother was Jane Grigsby. Her maternal grandparents were John,3rd Grigsby and Elizabeth Porter. She had six brothers and nine sisters, named Joseph, Thomas, John, Samuel, Benjamin Porter, William,Jr., Mary D., Martha Patsy, Phoebe, Rachel, Sallie, Frances Jane, Agnes Ann, Hannah E. and Verlinda. She is the second oldest of the sixteen children.
