Gladys Alpha was born on May 22nd, 1905 in Cooper, Delta Co., Texas.1 Gladys Alpha's father was William Farmer Page and her mother was Lucy Alma Strickland. Her paternal grandparents were John Calhoun Page and Mary Elizabeth Basham. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Theron B., William Floyd, James Newland, John Marvin, Alma Lorene, Velma, Geneva Louise and Ual.
