Mary Elizabeth Basham 
Mary Elizabeth was born about 1855 in Mississippi.1 Mary Elizabeth's father was William Farmer Basham and her mother was Mary Mandeville Webb. Her paternal grandparents were Jonathan Basham and Elizabeth Hogan; her maternal grandparents are Jake Webb and Elizabeth Williams. She had six brothers and a sister, named Jacob, William J., Parker Washington, James Jasper, Edwin, Riley Farmer and Irene. She was the third youngest of the eight children.
