Emily Means 
Emily was born in 1834 in Allegheny Co., Pennsylvania.1 Emily's father was Ralph Benjamin Means and her mother was Hadessa Nancy Whitsett. Her paternal grandparents were Adam Means and Margaret Hutchinson; her maternal grandparents are William Whitsett and Hadessa Crawford. She had three brothers and three sisters, named William, Ralph Whitsett, John T., Margaret, Hadessa and Nancy. She was the youngest of the seven children. She died at the age of 76 in 1910 in Allegheny Co., Pennsylvania. She was buried in Union Dale Cem., Allegheny Co., Pennsylvania.1 1 General Notes
