Joseph Hollenbeck 
Joseph was born in 1898 in San Diego, California.1 Joseph's father was Anthony J. Hollenbeck and his mother was Bessie Church Brooks. His paternal grandparents are Anthony Hollenbeck and Mary Briney; his maternal grandparents were William S. Brooks and Hadessa Means. He had four brothers and four sisters, named James, Anthony, William J., Lee L., Daisy Means, Daughter, Daughter and Bessie Jessie. He was the fourth oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 19 on January 16th, 1917 in Tacoma, Washington.1 General Notes
