John Higginbotham 
John was born about 1726 in ,Amherst, Va.1 John's father was John Higginbotham and his mother was Frances Riley. His paternal grandparents were Charles Higginbotham and Ann Rawlins. He had six brothers and two sisters, named Moses C, Aaron, Benjamin, James, Joseph, Thomas Jefferson, Rachel and Ann. He was the fourth oldest of the nine children. He died on July 25th, 1814 in ,Amherst, Va.1 General Notes
