Lona Beatrice was born on February 10th, 1907 in Park Co., Indiana.1 Lona Beatrice's father was Richard Marshall DeSpain and her mother was Ida Frances Skaggs. Her paternal grandparents were Joseph Thomas DeSpain and Sarah Frances Warren. She had three brothers and nine sisters, named John Thomas, Raymond Alex, Everett C., Nora A., Mary Gertrude, Amy Frances, Alma, Nora A., Delcie Marie, Stella Kathleen, Grace Louise and Nettie Darlene.
