Wayland L. was born on February 24th, 1937 in Snyder, Scurry Co., Texas.1 Wayland L.'s father was Joseph Alton Burney and his mother was Ruby Mae Bishop. His paternal grandparents were William Franklin Burney and Maggie Bell Ledford. He had three brothers named Horace Webster, Living and Living. He died at the age of 62 on October 14th, 1999 in Rogers, Roosevelt Co., New Mexico.1 General Notes
