William Braswell 
William was born about 1809 in Dekalb Co., Tennessee.1 William's father was Sampson Braswell and his mother was Priscilla Williams. His paternal grandparents were Samuel Braswell and Sarah Unknown; his maternal grandparents were William Williams and Lucreasy Braswell. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Leroy (Lee), Lemuel, Samuel, Nathan, Lucretia and Unicey. He was the oldest of the seven children. He died after 1860.1 General Notes
