Peter Sampson Braswell 
Peter Sampson was born on December 24th, 1844 in Smithville, Dekalb Co., Tennessee.1 Peter Sampson's father was William Braswell and his mother was Clarissa (Cloe) Vire. His paternal grandparents were Sampson Braswell and Priscilla Williams. He had two brothers and seven sisters, named William J., Andrew J., Nancy C., Harriet A., Martha, Mary, Louisa, Priscilla J. and Elizabeth. He was the fourth youngest of the ten children. He died at the age of 49 on August 26th, 1894 in Smithville, Dekalb Co., Tennessee. He was buried in Dow Braswell Cem., Dekalb Co., Tennessee.1 1 General Notes
