nd he receiv ed from Mary Williams (550 acres) which he sold for 1000 silv
er dollars. P resumably, he left for Tennessee after selling his inherit
ed land. He purc hased 340 acres in Smith Co., Tennessee on 12 Dec 1804. O
ne oral traditi on states that the Williams' family spent some time in Vir
ginia before set tling in Tennessee but that hasn't been confirmed. Lucrea
sy Braswell Willi ams was mentioned in the will of her father, dated 30 N
