Lewis Means Beatty 
Lewis Means was born on March 29th, 1892 in Duquesne, Allegheny Co., Pennsylvania.1 Lewis Means' father was William Homer Watson Beatty and his mother was Lydia Hadassa Means. His paternal grandparents are James Beatty and Jane McElroy; his maternal grandparents were Ralph Whitsett Means and Lydia Jones. He had two brothers and a sister, named William James, Harold Homer and Lydia Florence. He was the second oldest of the four children. He died at the age of 73 on April 5th, 1965 in Carmichael, Sacramento Co., California. He was buried in Sunset Lawn Memorial Park, Sacramento, California.1 1 General Notes
