Thomas Edward was born on May 5th, 1868 in New Boston, Scioto Co., Ohio.1 Thomas Edward's father was Thomas Jefferson Clark-Basham and his mother was Nancy Rowley. His paternal grandparents were John Basham and Mary (Polly) Moore. He had three brothers named Charles, John William and Arthur. He was the second oldest of the four children.
