Roland Alvin was born on March 23rd, 1921 in Milltown, Sebastian Co., Arkansas.1 Roland Alvin's father was Alvin Clyde Basham and his mother was Ines R. Unknown. His paternal grandparents were Joseph Lawrence Basham and Joann Crosby. He had a brother and five sisters, named Living, Lavada, Estelle, Living, Living and Living.
