Okie was born on June 10th, 1922 in Callaway, Franklin Co., Ohio.1 Okie's father was John Clifton Basham and her mother was Della Wood. Her paternal grandparents were George Clifton Basham and Amanda A. Jones. She had five brothers and six sisters, named John William Brammer, George Clifton, Bill Noah, Franklin Delano, Living, Ora Elizabeth, Mary Ethel, Beverly Bayne, Annie, Living and Living. She died at the age of 42 on April 29th, 1965 in Westerville, Franklin Co., Ohio.1 General Notes
