George Clifton Basham 
George Clifton was born about 1867 in Floyd Co., Virginia.1 George Clifton's father was Sylvester Basham and his mother was Jane Eliza Hill. His paternal grandparents were Nathaniel Basham and Elender (Ellen) Ross. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Liphmyundas, Stonewall S., Hatcher (Hattie), Mollie, Cathindra and Millie. He was the third youngest of the seven children. He died after 1901 in Bentonville, Benton Co., Arkansas.1 General Notes
