James Harrod Basham 
James Harrod was born on August 25th, 1848 in Warren Co., Kentucky.1 James Harrod's father was Benajah Anderson Basham and his mother was Nancy E. Turner. His paternal grandparents were Bartlett Basham and Rachel Mayberry; his maternal grandfather is Reubin Turner. He had eight brothers and two sisters, named Samuel Green, Reuben Bartlett (Bartley), James, Henry, Henry W., Mark A., Samuel 'Green', Obediah Mitchell (Obie), Margaret E. and Nancy Jane. He was the fourth oldest of the eleven children. He had a half-brother named Reuben 'Alfred'. He died after 1900.1 General Notes
