Mary Jane Basham 
Mary Jane was born on August 21st, 1869 in Kentucky.1 Mary Jane's father was James Harrod Basham and her mother was Elizabeth (Polly) Ann Phelps. Her paternal grandparents were Benajah Anderson Basham and Nancy E. Turner. She had four brothers and two sisters, named John J., George Washington, Bermia (Burnie), Benaga, Jeanette and Allie May. She was the oldest of the seven children. She died at the age of 66 on May 23rd, 1936 in Alton, Illinois. She was buried in Glenville Church Cem., McClean Co., Kentucky.1 1 General Notes
