Cary Basham

Cary was born in 1791 in Virginia.¹   Cary's father was William Basham and his mother was Sarah Sally Shrewsbury.  His paternal grandparents were William Basham and Sarah (Agness) Angel; his maternal grandparents are Benjamin Shrewsbury and Nancy Richardson. He had two brothers and six sisters, named Uriah, Barnett A., Lucy, Celia, Nancy, Rhoady, Peggy and Mary (Polly).  He was the fifth oldest of the nine children. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Obediah, Jonathan and Elizabeth.  He died at the age of 43 in 1834.¹ 

They had two daughters named Nancy and Polly.
