Artimissa (Margaret) was born on August 12th, 1817 in Lawrence Co., Tennessee.1 Artimissa (Margaret)'s father was James Monroe Bassham and her mother was Arta M. Holloway. Her paternal grandparents were Archibald Basham and Winna Jons. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Johnson J., James Monroe, Jr., John Anderson, Katherine, Elizabeth Elenor and Mary. She was the third youngest of the seven children. She died about 1854 in Pope Co., Arkansas.1 General Notes
