Mary Basham 
Mary was born about 1812 in Roane Co., Tennessee.1 Mary's father was James Monroe Bassham and her mother was Arta M. Holloway. Her paternal grandparents were Archibald Basham and Winna Jons. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Johnson J., James Monroe, Jr., John Anderson, Katherine, Elizabeth Elenor and Artimissa (Margaret). She was the third oldest of the seven children.
