Etienne I Tete Hardi De was born about 1055 in Bourgogue, France.  Etienne I Tete Hardi De's father was William I The Great Burgundy and his mother was Stephanie Etiennette De Longwy.  His paternal grandparents were Renaud I Burgundy and Adelais Judith Normandy; his maternal grandparents were Adalbert III Count Longwy and Clemence De Foix. He had a brother and four sisters, named Raimund Of, Ermentrude Of, Gisela Gille Countess, Maud Matilda Sybil Of and Clemence Clementia Of.  He was the oldest of the six children.  He died on May 27th, 1102 in Rama, Palestine 1St Crusade.
