Raoul I De was born about 1178 in La Marche, Poitou, France.  Raoul I De's father was Geoffroy De Lusignan and his mother was Humberge De Limoges.  His paternal grandparents were Hugh VIII Le Brun Sire De Lusignan and Bougogne De Rancon; his maternal grandparents were Ademar Aymar IV Vicomte De Limoges and Marguerite De Turenne.  He was an only child.  He died on May 1st, 1219 in Shenton, Leicestershire, England.  He was buried in Fontblanche Priory, Exoudun.
