His paternal grandparents were Spencer and Kessiah; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Carby and Elizabeth Nichols. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Ander, Mart, Joseph M., Hal, Asa Dowell, Lenora, Rady, Ellie and Rosa S.. He was the third oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 75 on November 30th, 1937 in Sonora, Hardin, Kentucky, USA. He was buried on December 1st, 1937 in Sonora Cemetery, Sonora, Hardin County, Kentucky, USA.2 3 General Notes

(NOTE: I don't think that he married a 2nd time. Ken died before Mary or Rosie and his death certificate says married and Rosie's says widowed not divorced.)

I am the great great grand daughter of kendrick spencer. i noticed you had information on rootsweb.com about him. you have that he married twice. he did, my great grand father is a son from his first marriage. mary rosauna pilkerton is his second wife. i have had no luck finding any info about his first wife. only that possibly her name is bertha burba. could you please help me out. where did you get the information about bertha burba??

Kendrick was born in 1859/1860. He was married first to Nancy PILKENTON. Second to Mary Rose. Mary Rose was born August 2, 1874 and died August 22, 1948.
